Home to Oxford and Cambridge, the UK has always been linked to prestigious education. Such is the regard afforded to the UK based higher education, over 500,000 students arrive every year eager to build a better future for themselves and to expand their horizons.

In a land that educated some of the world's most influential thinkers, our list of Universities boasts impeccable tutoring, world-class research and consistently high performances in world rankings.

There are over 395 universities and colleges to choose from, each offering over 50,000 Foundation, Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses combined.

The UK is also a fantastic place to live, with a multicultural society mixed with a blend of diversity, languages and faiths. There are plenty of opportunities to challenge yourself and contribute to a melting pot of communities.

Foundation

Foundation courses prepare international students for access to a Bachelor's Degree program or other undergraduate courses at UK universities.

They are a bridge between an international High School and UK university study, providing enough grounding and knowledge to succeed at degree level. They typically last 1 year and offer a range of academic subjects and study skills. Successful completion will usually guarantee entry on pre-determined Bachelor's Degree courses, and to be accepted, you will need to have good High School grades.

Offers usually go to those students who hold the equivalent of 5 GCSE (A*- C) and English level IELTS 4.5 at a minimum.

Undergraduate

An Undergraduate Degree is the first degree you can take within the UK education level system. Students work towards a series of modules which once completed, make up the final degree. It usually takes around 3 years to reach graduation, although some courses can be for 4 years long with 1 year of work placement.

Undergraduate degrees are designed to give you a thorough understanding of a subject that you can build on further with a Postgraduate qualification at a later stage.

On completion, the institution will award you with either a Bachelor of Arts (BA), Bachelor of Science (BSc), Bachelor of Education (BEd) or Bachelor Of Engineering (BEng).

If you achieve the full 360 credits on offer throughout the degree you will be awarded Honorus status.

Postgraduate

Once you have completed your undergraduate studies, you may wish to begin a postgraduate course.

As with a Bachelor's Degree, you can commit to full or part-time studies with full-time courses lasting around 1 year or 2 years.

They are designed to offer more in-depth specialization of a subject, and put forward their ideas and research to their peers.

Courses on offer include Masters, Postgraduate Diplomas (equally challenging but shorter than Masters), and professional or vocational qualifications which are designed to develop specific skills needed for a particular career path
